Seventh: work week

This post is long overdue, unfortunately last week was super busy with both internship work and a final exam, so here it is.

Last week was the start of my internship at Innoway, where I’ll be working for another two weeks. Luckily, another student at this program is interning there as well, so I get someone to talk to during the long commute and all. The work itself is so far so good. Coming from an engineering and tech heavy background, I’m learning a lot about how to exercise some of my soft skills, in communication, presentation preparation, and in primary market research. There is so much information online, and the scale of so many industries is so huge, I never knew how important it is to talk to people yourself and form your own opinion about a certain market.

Working on the startup incubator side instead of the startup side is definitely motivating me to dedicate more time to my startup as well. Freed from classwork, I should have some more time to do some side projects and get ready for the year.

It’s pretty empty around here, with everyone else gone. I miss seeing familiar faces studying in the lobby, or walking to class. Looking forward to heading home.
